Welcome to a new school year!

It's time to start learning all our new procedures. Yesterday we learned the rules of how to properly use pattern blocks. It's true, we teach procedures for EVERYTHING!!!  Once we have our procedures and routine down pat we will put them to use in Math and Literacy Stations. Here are some pictures of us exploring with our pattern blocks:

2014 ISE FIELD DAY

We had a blast at Field Day. It had to be moved inside due to questionable weather but we loved it!  Congratulations to Mr. Winchell for flawlessly pulling it off. The kids had so much fun moving throughout the school building spending time with parents and classmates. Whether it was working together as a team or playing on inflatables they were wonderful. I couldn't be prouder of these kindergarteners.

Bricks4Kids Adventure 5-15-14

Bricks4Kids visited ISE Kindergarten.  We had fun building Lego cars and learning about force and gravity. Each student graphed how far their car went using gravity and then force. Here are some pictures:

Class & Christmas Announcements:

  • Each child needs to bring a $5 gift card for the Christmas Gift Swap during our class Christmas party, December 20th.  The card needs to be for a restaurant or store that a kindergartener would enjoy visiting (Dairy Queen, Sweet Frogs, Target, etc.).  Please be sure to label the gift card from: your child's name.   These are due the Wednesday before the party so that I can ensure there will be enough.
  • December 20th will be a half day of school.  We will have our class Christmas party on this day.  Homeroom moms will be contacting you with information regarding this.
  • Class Christmas Crafts are Wed., Dec. 11 (9-11:00).  These will be in our classroom.  If you have any questions about this please contact our homeroom moms.
  • We are in need of AA batteries for our Leapsters.
  • Please be sure to send a snack each day with your child.
  • We would like to welcome a new friend to our class family, Seth.  Now we have 20 students!
  • I would like to thank the PTA and Cassandra Cooke for their efforts in raising money for technology. We have a new iPad for our students to use.  They use this during Literacy Stations.  They love it!
