Field Day 2013

Theme: EPIC REWIND
This week we had so much fun with our friends and families at ISE Field Day. The weather was absolutely beautiful. Here are some pictures of our class enjoying the special activities that were planned for us.

Kindergarten ROCKS

The year is almost over and I have to admit I am sad to see my class go. This has been the sweetest group. I've enjoyed each one of their special personalities. Two of my sweeties left me a message with magnets in the word work station.

Field Trip to Paramount Theatre

April 18, 2013
ISE Kindergarten traveled to Bristol to the Paramount Theatre to see "How I Became a Pirate." We read this story earlier in the year. The students were so well-behaved and enjoyed the great play. Here are a few pictures from our trip.

Kindergarten Holiday Project

Our kindergarten participated in a special project to benefit a very special family and program. Courtney's Food Wagon is a non-profit program started by one of our very own kindergarteners. She collects food to donate to the NICU and Pediatrics family kitchen at Holston Valley/Wellmont. Here are pictures of all the items that were donated by our kindergarten students.

Our Literacy Stations

I have 9 Literacy Stations and 9 Math Stations that my students use 4 days a week. They rotate throughout the stations using a pocket chart system. Math Stations are stored a boxes that the students take with them to specifically numbered spaces in the classroom. Literacy Stations are labeled and tend to be more permanent. However, the work in all of these stations change on a routine basis. Students work in groups of 2-3. Here are some of our stationary Literacy Stations.
