Fun with Laura Numeroff's "If You Give A..." stories

We had a blast reading Laura Numeroff's stories.  We had pancakes with "If You Give a Pig a Pancake", donuts with "If You Give a Dog a Donut", cupcakes with "If You Give a Cat a Cupcake", cookies with "If You a Give a Mouse a Cookie", and muffins with "If You Give a Moose a Muffin".  We even shared the stories with three of the characters. While reading the stories we talked about cause and effect AND story sequencing. I think the teachers loved this week's lessons as much as the students!
