December Reminders

* Each child needs to send in a shirt-sized gift box for a class project. 

You will receive these boxes back before break.

*The children have made reindeer shirts as part of our class Christmas crafts.

Please have your child wear this for our class Christmas party.

*Our class party will be Wed., December 21 at 10:15.

Parents are invited to attend this celebration.

*Each child needs to send a wrapped Christmas ornament for our gift exchange.

These are needed by Monday, Dec. 19.  Please let us know if assistance is needed!

Our Turkey Bulletin Board for November

TURKEY TIME

Our students were given the chance to disguise a turkey. 

Their homework was to keep their turkey from being found for

Thanksgiving meal.  Our turkeys were disguised like a chef, patriotic

soldier, Big Bird, Santa, leaves, cupcake, lamb, actress, duck, monster

and elephant.  Each child also painted a feather to put on our big

turkey in the center of the bulletin board.  This week we will be

adding handwriting exercises to our hallway telling what we are

thankful for.  Stop by and see the board if you are in the school!

We are thankful for our parents who put the time and effort into

fun home activities that enrich kindergarten.  Thank you!

FIELD TRIP FUN

Monday, October 31 Indian Springs Kindergarteners went on a field trip to Cleek Farm and Corn Maze in Kingsport.  The weather was chilly but we still had tons of fun! 

Our first adventure was going through the muddy corn maze.  We found our five posts and colors which fit code #44 for a group bear hug.

We had fun on the hay ride. Our ride through the creek was almost everyone's favorite part of the ride.

The Cow Train was exciting.  One of our students even had the chance to ride in a cow that had the same name as her.  Too cute!

And last but not least, we enjoyed our lunch under the shelter before boarding the warm bus headed for home (school).

Our Beautiful Butterfly

OUR BUTTERFLY HAS FLOWN AWAY.....





Our class was given the opportunity to watch a caterpillar go from caterpillar to beautiful butterfly.  We saw the entire process as it hatched from the chrysalis it had formed.  We released our Monarch butterfly yesterday so that it can fly to Mexico for the winter.  Here are some pictures of it's release:
